Life of a Grad Student

What is it like to go to grad school? But also, what is is like to do a dual degree program?

I did my Master of Science and my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the same time. There are pros and cons of pursuing these degrees together.

1) I wanted to specialize, and most specialties push you towards publishing in peer-reviewed journals. Having a Master's or PhD only benefits you for this scientific writing process. Depending on your supervisor for your graduate studies, you may end up with a publication in the end.

2) Don't let people dissuade you from pursuing your goals! Just make sure you feel you are doing it for the right reasons, for you.
